Kary Anne Weybrew, MSN, RN, WHNP

Kary Anne Weybrew is the Director of Advisement & Counseling, Grant Writing at the Los Angeles County College of Nursing & Allied Health.

Kary Anne Weybrew is a transformational nursing leader with over 30 years of experience spanning clinical practice, academic leadership, health policy, and workforce development. Known for her passionate commitment to professional identity in nursing, Kary Anne has led nursing programs nationwide, developed innovative curriculum models, and championed inclusive, equity-driven education initiatives.


She currently serves as Director of Advisement and Counseling and Nursing Instructor at the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health (CONAH), where she helps guide the next generation of nurses through clinical instruction and student development. Her previous leadership roles include Director of the Traditional BSN Program at Mount Saint Mary’s University and Regional Dean with Concorde Career Colleges, where she oversaw multi-campus operations across eight states.
As a FUSE Corps Executive Fellow, Kary Anne developed a statewide, DEIB-centered dual-enrollment BSN pipeline to improve equity and access for ADN students. She is also a dedicated member of national professional organizations, including the International Society for Professional Identity in Nursing, where she serves on the advisory board and as treasurer, as well as OADN, NLN, and Sigma Theta Tau International.


Kary Anne’s career has been grounded in her belief that nurses are leaders, healers, and advocates—and that their formation begins long before they ever take a licensure exam. Her work continues to inspire students to think, act, and feel like nurses from the moment they enter the profession.
